Origin: Mark Zuckerberg was born in White Plains, New York to a Jewish-American family. His father  Edward Zuckerberg ran a dental practice at the family’s home and his mother Karen worked as a psychiatrist before the birth of the couple’s four children. Mark has three sisters Randi, Arielle and Donna, all of whom he’s friends with. Mark was raised in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
Education: Mark attended Ardsley High School (1998-2000) in New York. He studied at Phillips Exeter Academy, in New Hampshire, and attended Harvard University (but he dropped out).

Career highlights: 

In 2002 Mark Zuckerberg attended the world-famous Harvard University, where he continued creating his dream projects. His early project, Coursematch, allowed students to view lists of other students enrolled in the same classes. On October 28, 2003, he wrote Facemash, the predecessor to Facebook, that pulled photos of current students from a Harvard University database.
Mark Zuckerberg created the technical platform for what became Facebook and launched Facebook from his Harvard dorm room on February 15, 2004, with roommates Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes and Eduardo Saverin.
This site took the goals of those lower-case traditional Facebook and combined them with the social networking of Myspace-like sites.
Any Harvard student could create an account, and by the end of the month, more than two-thirds of the school’s students had done so.
Zuckerberg then decided to spread Facebook to other schools and enlisted the help of roommate Dustin Moskovitz.

Personal life:

 When he was 14 years old Mark attended Ardsley High School (1998-2000) in his home town in New York.
In high school, he began teaching himself how to write software and created some computer programs, especially communication tools and computer games. He also created a messaging program to be used in his father’s dental office.
Since 2000 Mark studied at Phillips Exeter Academy, in New Hampshire, which is a boarding school for grades 9–12 (2000-2002). There, he studied Latin and became a fan of the classics. There he showed some talent at fencing, becoming the captain of the school’s team. There, he was known for reciting lines from epic poems such as The Iliad. In Academy Mark continued to work on developing new computer programs.
Microsoft and AOL tried to recruit Zuckerberg, but he instead,  after graduating from Exeter in the fall of 2002, attended the world-famous Harvard University, where he studied computer science and psychology.
Mark remains a wary and private person. He doesn’t like to speak to the press. He is simultaneously shy and cocky, private and energetic, thoughtful and ironic, introspective and self-critical.
Mark is red-green colourblind, which means the colour he can see best is the blue colour that dominates the Facebook website.
Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t seem to care that much about money and luxury. He hasn’t sold Facebook even though he’s reportedly been offered at least $1 billion for it. He said, ‘It’s not about the price. This is my baby, and I want to keep running it, I want to keep growing it'”.
In his sophomore year at Harvard around 2003, he met his future fiancee, medical student Priscilla Chan (b. February 24, 1985), a Chinese-American from Boston.  Priscilla Chan was the daughter of Chinese-Vietnamese refugees, who arrived in the U.S. after the Fall of Saigon in 1975. She was a girl with delicate and pretty features. Later Zuckerberg persuaded her to come to California.
Mark and Chan began dating in 2003. They married on May 19, 2012, an event that also celebrated her graduation from the medical school of the University of California, San Francisco and on the day after Facebook’s stock market launch.
On December 1, Zuckerberg announced the birth of his first child, Maxima Chan Zuckerberg, (Chinese name Chén Míngy). The couple welcomed their second daughter, August, on 28 August 2017.
The Social Network. 

On July 14, 2009, author Ben Mezrich released his novel The Accidental Billionaires, which inspired the story of Facebook founding and the severing of the friendship between Zuckerberg and Edouardo Saverin, who was a consultant for Mezrich’s book. The story became a David Fincher film, The Social Network (2010). Actor Jesse Eisenberg plays Zuckerberg in the film, which does not portray the young entrepreneur in the most favourable light. Moreover, no staff members of Facebook, including Zuckerberg, was involved with the project.
Mark said, that the ‘Social Network’ gets everything about his character wrong, apart from his geeky clothes. According to Mark the biggest difference between the movie and real-life stems from the fact that movie-makers “can’t wrap their head around the idea that someone might build something because they like building things.”
Zuckerberg said, that he is trying to make the world a more open and honest place,  where people share details about themselves with the world.

Some of Zuckerberg’s Harvard classmates claim they hired him to finish the code on their website, ConnectU and that he stole their idea, design, business plan, and source code. Zuckerberg claims there was no contract and that he was not a partner. Finally, the judge ruled in favour of Facebook.
