Parable on Opportunity
One day Alexander the Great was going about town, just walking with his troops and roaming about the market. In one of the side streets, he saw a sculpture’s shop. Curious, he went inside and saw the beautiful statue of a woman without a head and with wings.
Alexander: “O’ Sculptor, what is this beautiful status called?”
Sculptor: “O Great King, this statue is called Opportunity”
Alexander: “Why does it have no head?”
Sculptor: “O Great King, so no one can know how Opportunity looks like”
Alexander: “…and why does it have wings?”
Sculptor: “Because it does not wait for no one, Opportunity flies away.
You have to catch her right away.”
