Social and professional position: Chinese actress, TV Host, singer, model and beauty queen.
The main contribution to (what is known):  Miss World 2012, Second Miss World from China (first was Zhang Zilin, 2007); Miss China 2012 (On June 30th in Beijing)
Contributions:  Yu Wenxia won the 2012 Miss World pageant and was also named Miss Talent, for performing  Chinese folk songl. She is the second Chinese Miss World after Zhang Zilin in 2007.

Origin: Yu Wenxia was born on 6 August 1989 in Shangzhi, Heilongjiang in northeast China. She was the second of two daughters to farming parents. Her parents were both farmers and sent her in a good school for receiving a good education
Education: She graduated from  National Vocal Music at Harbin Normal University College of Music.
Career highlights:  On 30 June 2012, Yu was crowned Miss China 2012 at the Jinhai Lake Resort in Beijing and on 18 August 2012, Yu won the 2012 Miss World. During her reign as Miss World, Yu traveled to the many countries of Europe, America and Asia.
Personal life:  She is very close to her sister who is two years older. Wenxia hopes to be a music teacher. She describes herself as someone who follows her dreams with a smile.
Interests: She speaks English, loves to play the piano, go hiking, dance, singing and travel. her favorite food is dumplings.
After winning the award, Wenxia said that she hoped to use the crown to make children around the world feel lucky.
